Come create, connect, and care for our furry friends with a Multi-Generational Caring Families and Kids Social Justice Workshop: “Compassion for All Creatures.” All are welcome to a special hands-on Social Justice Workshop where we’ll put our UU values of kindness and compassion into action for animals in need! This multi-generational event is an opportunity for families, kids, and community members to support a local animal shelter while exploring how we can care for all creatures. Join us as we have fun and work to build a world of compassion, justice, and love for all beings—two-legged, four-legged, and everything in between!
Hands-On Projects Include:
● Making rope dog toys
● Making no-sew tie blankets for shelter animals
● Decorating bags and boxes for shelter cats to play in
● Creating “Hi, My Name Is” tags for pet adoption cages
We will provide a free pizza lunch and a chance to connect with each other at the start of the workshop. Every participant will receive a stuffed animal at the end of the workshop as a reminder that all creatures deserve love and care.
Please reach out to April Rosario, who will be leading the workshop at
