Here at UU Wellesley Hills, we warmly welcome children of all ages to join us in our Sanctuary each Sunday for worship. The service almost always includes a “Story for All Ages,” and there are other opportunities for worship participants across the age spectrum to actively participate. We have childcare available every Sunday from 10AM to noon; parents/guardians can decide whether to make use of it for all or part of the worship service.
We believe that children, even very young ones, greatly benefit from the opportunity to exercise compassion for others and can contribute in ways that make an important difference in our community. We are in the process of developing a monthly program that will offer children and youth from throughout the greater Metrowest community—not only those who attend UU Wellesley Hills—to participate in multi-generational social action projects consistent with our mission and values. We are considering activities such as cooking for families in need, making cards for older people living alone, putting together bags of toiletries for those in homeless shelters, and crafting toys for stray animals.
We welcome families of all configurations into our community, as well as people of different ages, races, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. Please check this space for programming updates or email info@uuwellesley.org for more information.
