“Just Desserts” is an ongoing initiative sponsored by UU Wellesley Hills’ Advocacy & Witness Team to provide education about pressing social justice issues along with an opportunity for fellowship. We typically meet in our Parish Hall at 7PM for desserts made by congregational volunteers, and then gather for a presentation and facilitated discussion for an hour. Both congregation members and community members are warmly welcomed.
Topics addressed have included policing in Wellesley, immigration injustice, gender identity, Medical Aid in Dying legislation, housing, and addiction, among others. Our Advocacy & Witness Team has a long list of pressing issues for us to consider during future Just Desserts programs!
