Our Rummage Sale engages the entire congregation and long-time “friends of Rummage” for the biggest fundraiser of our program year. Legions of volunteers share their time, talent, and treasure to raise money for our annual operating budget and also support local charitable organizations.
Over the course of a single week, the church complex is transformed into a massive department store managed by skilled teams of volunteers who coordinate their efforts across the UU Wellesley Hills campus. The days prior to the sale give workers a chance to make meaningful connections while sorting donations. The Rummage Sale offers a great opportunity for people to recycle their belongings as well as a great service to the community: it provides access to affordable goods for shoppers in Wellesley and surrounding towns, and unsold items are donated to local charities.
