For a summary of Faith in Action activities as compiled by our Social Action Council, see our bimonthly newsletter, the Social Action Digest.
As people of faith, we Unitarian Universalist work on behalf of our progressive values in a variety of ways, both within the UU Wellesley Hills congregation, out in the local communities, and in distant places around the world. In addition to serving on our Social Action Council and mobilizing our Task Forces, our friends and members have stood in interfaith vigils against hate crimes, made foreign service trips in times of crisis, joined rallies against gun violence, arranged bus transportation to the Women’s March, and participated in the #ClimateStrike. At UUA General Assemblies across the country, we have also used our numbers to strengthen actions of immediate witness on pressing social concerns. We believe that the religious life make moral and ethical requirements of us, and we take those as serious matters, whether we are acting collectively or individually. Our faith very often is expressed most powerfully through our actions.
