Our Undecorate The Tree gift drive will provide gift cards to individuals in the Greater Boston area served by the UU Urban Ministry and will be collected the first three Sundays in December. The drive will benefit the Renewal House which is a domestic violence shelter for individuals and families who are fleeing domestic violence, as well as Roxbury Youth Programs (RYP), an after school youth development center housed at the Urban Ministry. The RYP program serves high school students that are mainly from Roxbury, Dorchester and Mattapan. Currently, there are 33 young people who are part of RYP.
We will be collecting $25 dollar gift cards (Amazon, Target, CVS, and Walmart) and you can donate as many as you would like. You can sign up now to give a gift to our many participants by using this Google Spreadsheet. Contact Tricia Johnson for more information.
