Good news! This past summer, the LGBTQ+ Task Force secured recertification of UU Wellesley Hills’ Welcome Congregation status from the UUA. The Task Force worked diligently last year to meet all the requirements for this designation: celebrating LGBTQ+ life at two worship services, recognizing six LGBTQ+ Days of Observance, hosting an educational event for the community (the Just Desserts program on gender identity) and supporting a Welcoming Project (raising money and collecting snacks for OUT MetroWest). Thanks to everyone who supported the Task Force in this effort. We should all be very proud of our efforts on behalf of LGBTQ+ individuals!
